Sexy Gutters

Art direction
Concept

A personal project undertaken which began researching into gothic architecture and more specifically Gargoyles. Garogyles purpose is to slow the erosion of buildings from rainwater. Through researching into this topic I found out that UK Parliament passed a law in 1724 that made downpipes compulsory in all new builds.

This inspired attempting to turn bland and boring PVC guttering into something that is beautiful and ornate like it’s predecessor the gargoyle. I turned the many ‘models’ I had into a satirical fashion look-book
named ‘Sexy Gutters’.
